Start with the finish
Sound painted surfaces, aged coatings and bare masonry respond differently to moisture and cleaning products. We look for chalking, peeling paint, open cracks and gaps around windows before work starts. A small test area helps establish an appropriate method. Where the coating is failing, cleaning cannot replace preparation and repainting.
A controlled wash, with attention to detail
The proposed method is matched to the surface and type of soiling, rather than relying on maximum pressure. Walls, accessible eaves and agreed exterior details can be included in the scope. We plan around electrical fixtures, open vents, delicate fittings, planted areas and the route used to manage rinse water.
Know what is included
A house wash is different from window detailing, roof cleaning or stain restoration. Tell us if you want glass, roof surfaces or particular stains included so they can be assessed separately. Existing water ingress, loose finishes and inaccessible sections may limit what can be cleaned. These limitations should be clear before you accept the quote.
What we look at before quoting.
- Assessment of the nominated exterior surfaces
- Cleaning method matched to finish and condition
- Agreed preparation around fixtures and nearby planting
- Cleaning and rinsing of the surfaces listed in your quote
- A final review of the completed scope
A clear scope before work begins.
Surface area is only part of the picture. The material, amount of growth, staining, access and protection needed all affect the work. Share the relevant details in your enquiry so the quote can be specific to your home.
Understanding the finish.
Cleaning can remove surface dirt and growth, but cannot reverse etching, structural damage or worn coatings. Stains may respond differently and some marks can remain. Any limitations, test requirements or specialist repairs should be discussed before work is agreed.
